LAGOON (PORTRAIT)

from 35.00

An assignment in Iceland, documenting the glaciers of Suðurland. Ryan, co-founder of Hidden Iceland, educates his tour groups about the drastic effects of climate change on this country. Ísland has recently seen the end of Okjökull, otherwise known as Ok glacier, and a memorial plaque has been set to commemorate its disappearance. It reads as follows:

Ok is the first Icelandic glacier to lose its status as a glacier.

In the next 200 years all our glaciers are expected to follow the same path.

This monument is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done.

Only you know if we did it.
